Hello! I’m Samara Krause and I’m a third-year psychology student at UVic! Welcome to my blog for the EDCI 335 A02 class.

I’m from BC but grew up overseas and most recently lived in Hong Kong, where I graduated high school in 2020. I have lots of family in Victoria and moved here two years ago to begin university. One of my favourite things about the city is the beautiful nature and I love hiking, going to the beach and spending time outside with my friends. In my free time, I play the piano, read and spend time with my sister’s dog.

I’m taking this class because I’ve always been interested in how technology can enhance learning experiences, especially with how rapidly it’s changing. Both of my parents are teachers so I have a deep appreciation for the importance of good teaching methods. I want to learn more about how educators can use media, software and online tools to enhance learners’ experiences and promote accessibility.
